Windhoek Country Club Resort

The resort sits on the edge of the capital and has its own convention centre on the grounds. Plenary sessions, breakaway workshops and the conversations between them all happen on one site.

Rooms, session rooms and the gardens are on the same grounds, so the walk from a plenary to a private conversation is a short one.

The city and the country

Windhoek is Namibia’s capital and its financial centre, set high on the Khomas Highland plateau. It is politically stable, has a well-regulated financial sector, and is well connected by air across Southern Africa.

May falls in the dry season. Days are warm and clear, nights are cool at altitude, and English is the official language.

Getting here

Hosea Kutako International (WDH) is Namibia’s main international gateway, about 45km east of Windhoek. Airport transfers for delegates are arranged by the summit team rather than left to you to organise on arrival.

Entry requirements

Namibia’s visa rules differ by nationality and have changed more than once in recent years. Confirm current requirements with your nearest Namibian mission before booking, and contact us if you need a formal invitation letter for your application.

Beyond the conference floor

Delegates routinely extend the trip. These are the journeys worth the extra days, and the summit team can arrange them.

Sossusvlei: Namib-Naukluft; Red dunes rising from a clay pan inside the oldest desert on earth. Reachable as a chartered add-on either side of the summit.
Etosha National Park: Northern Namibia; One of Africa's great game reserves, built around a salt pan large enough to be visible from orbit.
Swakopmund: Atlantic coast; A coastal town where German colonial architecture meets the Skeleton Coast, roughly four hours from the capital.
Fish River Canyon: Southern Namibia; The largest canyon in Africa, and among the largest anywhere.
